"Minimally Invasive Surgery: Less Scalpel, More Scope"
One of the more recent advances in veterinary surgery is the use of endoscopy to perform procedures that previously could only be performed by surgically opening the abdomen or chest. This technique is referred to as "Minimally Invasive Surgery".
During a minimally invasive surgical procedure, a specialized surgical camera attached to an endoscope is inserted into the patient's abdomen or chest through a tiny incision.

Boomer was the Inspiration for Atlanta Dog Spa
On Thursday, March 18, 2010, Atlanta Dog Spa's beloved little beagle mascot Boomer passed away. Boomer was a one-of-kind beagle, with a face you couldn't help but love, and he will be missed by many.
Boomer's family and friends held a service at Paws, Whiskers and Wags with some of Boomer's favorite things, pictures, and great stories. Even his brother, Stedman, and canine friend, Sabrina attended.
I spoke with Sarah Segal, Boomer's mom and owner of Atlanta Dog Spa about Boomer's life and inspiration for her to launch one of Atlanta's first Doggie Day Cares. She shared this heart-warming tribute with me about Boomer's life. |
